There are a few areas where I think I could edit here even though I only know a little written and spoken Cantonese.

Sometimes the English translations of sentences are ungrammatical.

But also, 'You have a good memory.' is broken into two words: Hello and Memory.
你好 These characters are grouped into a word even when they shouldn't be.
Is there a way to break them up? It is nice to make the distinction between words and characters in the translations, but often they are grouped the wrong way for the meaning of the sentence. When I break down the sentence for myself, I find that I sometimes must recombine the characters into other words to find the correct meaning. The words are in the dictionary, but not with the sentence.

Hello cantodic forum masters.

First of all, I'm not sure how to register to become an editor for this magnificent project?

Second, I would like to congratulate you for the effort and the tools provided here.

Third, it would be a good added value to include features like sound samples for each character or syllable with different voices, for instance, male soprano and baritone and female voices too!!!

Finally, I would also like you to add alternative romanization forms for the entries including Yale and IPA among others.

Thanking you in advance for all your help and aids.

Yours truly, and from now on your friend,

The Cantonese.sheik discussion forum became political when the censors like Cyrus Chiu were deleting posts as if he was a member of the CCP. Censorship is an accepted practice by Asians born in the East but not acceptable by Asians born in the West and many of the forumites at the time before this forum went dead are from the West have no tolerance for censorship and they were frightened away from this forum because of censorship as if we are in Communist China. Cyrus started censoring people's freedom of speech and his censorship along with Adam's censorship is why participants on this forum disappeared and once the forum went dead it then went political to test the bounds of censorship which goes against western values.

I would like to remind the audience that, this forum did not go political until after it went dead because posts were being deleted. Cyrus did not contribute much to Cantonese culture because he is actually Teochew, but he contributed tremendously to Cantonese vocabulary. Most Christian Cantonese speakers don't have much Cantonese culture to offer the world however to blame the death of this forum because it went political is a farce. Preserving Cantonese culture is a political act given the current state of affairs happening in China with cultural genocide and to not be political about that is being complicit and I must say Christian missionaries have long been erasing Cantonese culture way before the CCP by over a hundred years and no one has called them out on that.

Once upon a time CantoDict was the only online game in town. I believe Cyrus Chiu was one of the decision makers making a bad decision not to license CantoDict to the emerging online dictionary competition which made CantoDict no longer the only online game in town. Who is the blame for that? The politics posted to this forum or greed as defined by the Bible???

As much as I respect Cyrus Chiu and I think he is one of the torch bearers for preserving Cantonese language (but not Cantonese culture), I am calling out and putting into perspective his blame and complicity on the decline of CantoDict on his Reddit post:

CantoDict has been on the decline since 2018 when its Cantonese Discussion forum became far too political in its contents. Several long-time members left CantoDict to set up a new CantoPlus project in May that year ( www.cantoneseplus.com ) in order to carry on with the updating job of CantoDict. Up to this moment, CantoPlus has done a great done in its updating work if any user would care to check one against the other.

(Note: I must declare that I am one of the editors of CantoPlus. Any feedback can be posted to [www.reddit.com] )
