八達通

octopus card - a handy card used in transport systems in Hong Kong. Cards are available from any train station for the sum of HK$150 containing a stored value of HK$100 which can be topped up (in increments of HK$50). They are used by waving the bag which contains the card at a screen and the cost of your journey is automatically deducted. They also work on buses and in your local 7-11.
