Appeasing the God of Planet Jupiter: during the Lunar New Year, the temples in Taiwan would provide the service of holding the rituals of ‘An Tai Sui’ (Appeasing the God of Planet Jupiter, 安太歲), performed by Taoist priests or Masters, to appease the god of planet Jupiter and pray for special blessings from the god for those who ‘offends Tai Sui’ (犯太歲) to avoid bad fortunes.
