家屬謝禮
the family (of the deceased) thanks or acknowledges the courtesy. [Taoist funeral, Typical Chinese funeral] Upon arrival, a guest would pay respect to the deceased by walking up to the picture of the deceased and bow three times. In return, the family of the deceased would bow once at the guest to thank or to acknowledge the respect and courtesy. This gesture of the family is called 家屬謝禮. (Mostly, these words are first announced by the Taoist priest before the family bows. Just as the priest would make the announcement before the guests pays his respect.)
