Autumn Night on a Mountain

by Wang Wei

Hear the poem being read by: Sebastian or  齊葺葺
DISCLAIMER: the following translation is TERRIBLE, as it was done by /\dam, who CANNOT READ CHINESE!
So, please post a better translation here :-)
UPDATE: I have slightly updated a few lines based on comments in the forum.

hung1 saan1 san1 jyu5 hau6
The mountain is empty after fresh rain

tin1 hei3 maan5 loi4 cau1
From an autumn night

ming4 jyut4 cung4 gaan1 ziu3
A moonbeam shines through the pines

cing1 cyun4 sek6 soeng6 lau4
Catching a pebble on the bank of a pure stream

zuk1 hyun1 gwai1 wun5 neoi5
Rustling bamboo marks a washer-maiden

lin4 dung6 haa5 jyu4 zau1
A water-lily shifts under a fishing boat

ceoi4 ji3 ceon1 fong1 hit3
Even though fragrant spring would end

wong4 syun1 zi6 ho2 lau4
I would stay here till my end of days
This line possibly literally means "my grandchildren will stay here", implying he will live on the mountain and hope his descendents will do so as well.  Whether or not 王孫 means his grandchildren is open for debate (the poet's name is  I think) - /\dam

Many thanks to Ling (for posting the poem) and all the people who took the time to send in their recordings above.
