Note that this really has nothing to do with the lungs and is a sound contraction from the vulgar expression 頂你個塊閪 [ding nei go faai hai]: ding nei go faai hai → ding nei go f(aai h)ai = ding nei go fai. There is some debate as to how profane this phrase is. It seems to have become less offensive in recent times, and is roughly equivalent to "blow me".
