doing something pointless, meaningless or unnecessary; a stupid action; striking an attitude This is the first part of a 歇後語 which has 冇嗰樣整嗰樣 as the second (usually not hidden) part. Literally, it means Mr Stupid (阿茂) makes cakes -making new shapes out from nothing to model on. It now acquires a derogatory sense.
