[lit] A fungshui master can fool you for only eight to ten years, but not for a whole life [fig] Time will tell; Time can witness to a fact; I'm telling you the truth; Would I lie to you? This is the first part of a 歇後語 with the second part 唔呃得一世 usually not spoken. It connotes that the 'lies' of a fungshui master may last no more than ten years, and certainly not for a whole life. Somehow the truth will come out.
