拜神唔見雞
murmuring a complaint; bustle in and out with a murmur; speak indistinctly to oneself [lit] to find the chicken missing when presenting offerings to the gods 拜神唔見雞 is the first part of a 歇後語 which has 稟神噉聲 as the hidden part. 稟神噉聲 literally means "mumbling prayers as a worshipper". But now the chicken is gone, so his/her prayers turn into a complaint.
